WISE, VIRGINIA-JULY 24: Douglas Cross, a Lions Club volunteer from Gainesville, Virginia, keeps watch at the gate of the Virginia-Kentucky Fairgrounds as people filter through to register for free medical treatment provided by the Remote Area Medical (RAM) Expedition July 24, 2009. Cross has volunteered for 6 years. The Lions Club provides volunteers and food for all the volunteers and patients. The makeshift medical camp allows patients to receive dental and optical care, x-rays, mammograms and general medical treatment.
