BEACON, NEW YORK-AUGUST: One of the 4-month-old labrador retrievers new to the Puppies Behind Bars Program at Fishkill Correctional Facility. The puppies arrive as young as 8-weeks-old at the prisons and live with the prisoners for 16-20 months. The puppies arrive as young as 8-weeks-old at the prisons and live with the prisoners for 16-20 months. Fishkill Correctional Facility is a medium security prison in New York with 22 men in the puppy program.
